Dan Wertenberg’s extensive experience owning and operating large private businesses enables him to understand the challenges experienced by business owners. Dan currently serves as President of Wertenberg & Associates, where he consults in strategic planning, sales & marketing and turnaround situations. He is the author and presenter of the Sales Management and Training and Superhighway to Partnership training series. He sits on the board of corporations representing various industries including: food, industrial products, marketing services, personnel services and petroleum. He has advised in the purchase or sale of more than 30 public or private companies.
During the 1980s, Dan served as President and owner of a company he founded, a manufacturing firm with nearly $200 million in annual sales, eight manufacturing plants and more than 1,200 employees. Prior to founding his company, Dan was President of an Armco International and Lincoln Electric joint venture covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Dan has experience as a TEC Member, a monthly forum meeting for CEOs, and as the TEC Chair. He was elected “outstanding teacher” at Miami University where he taught marketing and international business college courses and has been a keynote speaker at several industry functions. He holds a B.A. in economics from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. in marketing from Eastern Michigan University.
