Josh DeVlieger is an Analyst at ArkMalibu who leverages his background in private equity and management consulting to support senior bankers across all stages of the M&A process. His responsibilities include building financial models, drafting pitch materials for prospective buyers, performing market research, and communicating with clients.
Josh graduated Summa Cum Laude from Hillsdale College with a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Management earning departmental honors. During undergrad, he helped teach underclassmen the basics of business valuation as the vice president of the Management Consulting Club and served as the president for his Fraternity.
He began working in finance as an intern for a private equity firm focusing on industrial and manufacturing companies. While at the firm, he was responsible for building simple LBO models, contacting sellers, drafting press materials, researching acquisition opportunities, and pitching investments to the investment committee. Following his experience in private equity, Josh worked in management consulting at Booz Allen Hamilton where he and his team developed a predictive maintenance solution to reduce machine downtime for critical defense manufacturers. He led the financial analysis for his team while also developing a data analytics dashboard and cloud-based application that easily communicated the predictive algorithm’s data insights to repair technicians.
In his free time, Josh enjoys golfing, reading, and travelling.
